Restaurant bookkeeping that reconciles itself

Sturgeon captures every expense, reads each invoice, categorizes it, and matches it to the payment in your bank feed, so the books stay reconciled and audit-ready all year instead of in a year-end scramble.

How it works

Every payment, matched

Payments out of your bank feed land in one transactions list. Each is matched to the invoice or expense behind it, and the ones still waiting on a bill are flagged as unmatched so you know exactly what's missing.

Invoices read for you

Drop in an invoice and Sturgeon reads the vendor, the invoice number, the total, the line items, and the due date. It files the invoice under a category such as Food & Beverage and records which account paid it.

Variance caught at the match

When an invoice is matched to its payment, any difference between the two is shown on the spot, so a short delivery or a price change is caught while the vendor still remembers it.

A month that closes itself

As the matches land, the reconciled rate climbs and the unmatched count falls. When the last line is matched the books close for the period, and the tax pack is ready without a shoebox in sight.

Questions

Does Sturgeon reconcile against my bank account?

Yes. Sturgeon reads your bank feed and matches each payment to the invoice or expense behind it, flagging the ones that are still unmatched.

Does it work with MarginEdge?

Yes. Invoices from MarginEdge are matched against your bank feed, and the same invoice prices cost your recipes.

Which plan includes bookkeeping?

The Full stack plan, which includes the books alongside the phone, the room, the pass, and the checklists.
